About The Girl Behind The Bat

On The Field

Jamie MacKay has had a bat in her hands since she was four. She started in t-ball and never looked back - raw, fearless, and usually the only girl on the field as she came up through Little League and club ball. At eleven, Baseball For All sent her to compete in Japan. At sixteen, she took the mound for USA Women's Baseball and pitched the win against Venezuela.

Ole Miss recruited her for softball - a game she'd never played. She learned it on the fly, settling in behind the plate and in right field, then transferred to South Carolina for her senior season.

In 2026, the Women's Pro Baseball League took her 23rd overall, turning a lifetime of baseball into a profession. The inaugural season begins August 1, 2026.

Off The Field

When she isn't on the field, you can find Jamie in the pool, out with her family and her dogs, Angel and Charlie, or elbow-deep in a box of cards.

It started the way it starts for most kids - a pack at the counter, a name you recognize, the sound of the wrapper. It never wore off. She's still the kid at the counter, just with better boxes.

That's where The Daily Rip came from. Jamie built it to turn a lifelong habit into something she could share - breaking and selling singles, curating vintage and rookie cards, hosting live breaks - and to sit at the table with the people who love this game the way she does. Collectors, kids, lifers, first-timers. The hobby has always been about the trade as much as the card: the conversation, the hunt, the story behind the pull.

Same instinct that put her on the field at four. Find the game. Chase the rip. Stay in it.
